Great things are happening here in Huntington. The Marshall Lab School Memorial
installation dream is complete and we want to invite you to the unveiling on
October 4, 2019 on the second floor at Jenkins Hall (our former Lab School). There
are several activities planned for the weekend of October 4th - 6th. Watch your
email for more information.
As the President of the Marshall Lab School Alumni Association, I want to thank
those who have donated towards the installation and artist fee already and those
who will in the future. This is OUR dream, and I want you to be a part of it.
Robert Hutton, MU Art Faculty Emeritus, has created a vibrant, colorful, 13-foot
long puzzle tile mural that tells the stories of the Marshall Lab School's proud past.
The project will cost approximately $35,000, including installation, maintenance and
artist fees. Please consider helping preserve the Marshall University Lab School's
legacy by supporting this project.
Donations may be made to the Foundation for the Tri-State Community, with
"Marshall Lab School Mural Fund" noted in the memo line. All donations are tax
deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
I hope you will join us in our efforts to ensure that the legacy of the Lab School lives
on.
